I signed up for Swagbucks way back when and promptly forgot about it. Well, lo and behold I signed in last night and have enough for $20 in amazon.com giftcards! Whoohoo!

Its basically a mindless way to earn points towards fun stuff like amazon gift cards while doing google searches you would do anyway. I wasn't super sold on it until I found out that I had earned so many points (especially because of nice friends who signed up through my link earlier:) Anyway, I am excited because we can order a book or two while in NC since we can't pack much. Sweet!

A Craigslist Sale and a Doula...finally!

I finally sold something on Craiglist! We've bought enough stuff off there...its about time! Last week I got rid of something and today I sold some old maternity clothes for $5. Not a ton of money, but I cleared out some space and I am happy with the person they went home with...she seemed like she really needed them and didn't have much money. Happy deal for both of us:)

Last night I found a doula! I've been looking for one for a couple weeks who would work for a lower cost (someone in training, etc.) and who was available in my time frame. I finally found a young lady that fit the bill! She was easy to talk to on the phone and already has given me some helpful things to try to make pregnancy and delivery go smoother! So happy:)

Blogher and Beans & Rice!

You'll probably notice something new on my sidebar...I now am a part of the blogher ad network! I am so excited to be accepted to join!

If you've never heard of blogher, find out more here. I am excited because I have been interested in finding a way to cover the cost of our internet through blogging, but wanted family-friendly advertising(or none at all)and this is it!

I probably will only make a few dollars (or maybe cents!) a month, especially to start, and the way I will do that is when people click on the ads (but don't feel pressured to do so). The ads I've seen on other blogher blogs have been great, so I am thinking they will be things my family, friends and regular readers will be interested in anyway.

I Sold it--ebay

Hubby is out taking his ill-conceived purchase (before we married) of skiis and ski gear to ISOLDIT on ebay. We haven't been successful at selling them ourselves so we are going to give this a try. Since all they've been doing is eating up precious space in our small closet and NOT garnering any income, any profit will be better than nothin'! I will let you all know how it goes.

*Note: Hubby isn't the only one who's made silly purchases, its just that this one came about when I wanted to write about something:)
