Sleepy girl

M was just plain tuckered out from church. The girl loves her some Sunday School. She is a very social creature and usually Sundays are her most social day. This particular sunday she didn't even lay down right before she fell asleep. This is her normal "bed" by the way--a couch next to sister's pack n play:)

Smallwoods farm fun

We all went to a local produce farm/petting zoo last weekend with grandma and grandpa and auntie Ginny. We had a lot of fun! The girls are both at great ages for this kind of thing.

And there we have it!

Poo! In the potty! Way to go M!

Sorry about the obvious TMI nature of it all, but I am so happy!

Over a month of potty training and less than 3 "#2's" in the potty so I definitely have something to cheer about:)

Was it...the 30 minutes I had her sit on the potty (I've had her sit longer than that before!)?

Or the large sippy of "you can do it please go poo on the potty apple juice" (she doesn't normally get juice)

The applesauce?

Or the desperate prayers while I changed the laundry downstairs and the time alone on the potty? Maybe?

Let's just hope and PRAY for a repeat performance tomorrow;)

Patience please, Lord

"But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law" Galatians 5:22-23

I am having a particularly trying few days of mothering here. Even now I realize that my troubles with potty training, discipline, and sibling love probably have more to do with what the Lord is trying to do in me than a problem with my child(ren).

In the meantime I am praying and praying some more...

And the greatest of these is love.

I might mail her to Kalamazoo...

I will share more tomorrow but we had a wild day of suprises (not the good kind) today. But a funny story (now that I have some time behind us!): my sweet little handful of toddler girl was watching a video on the laptop in the bedroom while I tried to console a cranky baby and finish cleaning up our dinner mess.

I came back to check on her and noticed something funny...she was covered in blue marker! Not only was she covered by I noticed my laptop was too! Patience Lord--I need more!

Potty Training Update

I almost gave up on Saturday night. After cleaning up half a dozen accidents (which was as many as she had in the previous 3 days combined) including several #2's, I thought it was time to throw in the towel for a few months. BUT-I decided to give it another day and yesterday went MUCH better.

Today: AWESOME! M has actually told me she had to go potty a few times and has only had one partial accident. Today was the first time she's actually told me she had to go (and actually did have to go) since we started exactly one week ago. I'm not ready to say we're successful yet of course, but its looking like she's starting to figure things out! Whoo hoo!
