My whole wheat sourdough starter

For a long time I've wanted to try making my own sourdough starter. Sarah inspired me with her tutorial and success. It sounded beyond my culinary capabilities, so I put it off. And off.

But now! I have a healthy (or so it looks) starter!

Six days of feeding and nurturing my little sourdough baby has produced what looks to be a healthy, ready to bake sourdough starter! Whoo-hooo!

I will be back later to tell you how the baking of the actual bread went:) In the meantime, here is another picture of my beautifully fermented starter.
