Menu Plan for the Week of February 9th, 2009
We finally did go out last week...to delicious Japanese food! We also found a little Asian food market next door where we picked up some curry powder and sesame oil for great prices! Mmmmm...now I am craving green tea ice cream...
Breakfasts: banana bread, cereal, oatmeal, homemade donuts, whole wheat orange bread (More with Less), pancakes (made from 1/2 bisquick, 1/2 whole wheat homemade biscuit mix)
Lunches: Leftovers
Snacks: fruit, banana bread, cereal, crackers, cheese
Dinners:
M: Crockpot Perfect Baked Potatoes with Broccoli, beans, cheese, sour cream, and any other fixin's we want!
Tue: Roast Chicken w/salad and mashed potatoes (had dinner at friend's houses instead of having this last week)
Wed: Teriyaki Meatballs (from Freezer) over brown rice and broccoli
Th: Chicken and Rice Soup
F: Homemade Pizza with Cheese and pineapple
Sat: Taco Soup with Fritos
Sun: Curry over rice or a cheesy pasta dish with mixed veggies on the side

Thanks for putting up your menu plan every week. I really enjoy reading it and you have given me lots of ideas!
Last night I soaked some red beans and I was planning on making some red beans and rice for my lunches this week. Do you have a recipe for something like that? I have only made beans in the crock pot after I have soaked them. I can boil them, is that right? I figured I would find something to spice them up with. I am definitely going to make your polenta and marinara sauce dish sometime soon as well.
