Half Diet/Half Regular Soda Pop


I loves me some soda pop something fierce. I occasionally think to myself (after drinking way too much) "I should really quit drinking this, its not so good for me", but that usually doesn't last long. So as long as we've established that my soda drinking isn't actually good for me, we can move on to a tip that works for me. I drink about 2 cans of pop per day. I don't like the calories in regular soda, and its too sweet. Diet soda tastes too "fakey" to me so I don't like that so much either. So I get out 2 cans at the same time and mix them, one diet, one regular. I think it tastes perfect! Now if only I could get the "soda fountain" bubbly goodness at home;)

It is so good to hear someone fess up to the fact that they like their soda too! I love dr pepper. Just simply love it. And no way do I even like, even a little, diet. Give me the sugar!
So I don't keep any in the house-- that makes it a special treat for when we go out somewhere :-)

I've started doing that with soda fountain drinks when at places like McDonalds. Or I'll allow myself one non diet soda and the other refills will be diet - but best is your idea of mixing the two - and you don't need much of the regular stuff to make it work.

Diet Dr. Pepper is the best diet drink I have come across ever...runner up is A&W root beer.

I take my diet pepsi, straight up, but mixing my sweet tea with unsweetened tea is the only way I like iced tea. Great tip!

Thanks for all the great comments... I love to know I have partners in (soda) crime;) I am almost out of my cheap/almost free soda from the Safeway cola deals, whatever will I do?
