Check those clearance sections

When out shopping, especially if you have your coupons with you, check the clearance sections. My last two shopping trips have scored some amazing deals by doing so! At Albertson's there were shopping carts with reduced merchandise, including Nestle Chocolatier Dark baking chocolate bars marked down from $4.99 to $2.00. I had a coupon for $1.50 off! Today at Walgreen's, the clearance section held several bottles of Studio Line hair products, which had IVC (instant Value) coupons for $1.00in the Walgreen's coupon book (EasySaver catalogue), and since they were only $1.29 on clearance, I got each of them for a little over .30, including tax. Combined with coupons, there are some great deals to be had.

So go out and scour those clearance sections! Go check out Works for Me Wednesday, temporarily hosted by Don't Try This at Home for more great ideas!

Hi, I found your site on Don't try this at home for WFMW. I noticed that you are taking a trip to PNG with New Tribes. We attended NTBI in Waukesha! Did you attend Bible School at all or just going on interface with them? I'm so glad I found your site, I'll keep watching to see how your trip goes!

I love, love, love coupons and when you combine them with clearances or store deals, it is awesome! I saved over 60.00 on my grocery bill yesterday!

One good place you can use coupons with clearance is CVS. They now have all Valentine's Day stuff at 50% off, and it will go higher. If you have ECBs, you can get lots of stuff. And you might even have coupons for some of the candy. Just remember...things wrapped in pink (like the bag of kisses I bought today) are perfect for Easter, and red can be used for Fourth of July! (The same goes for any other after-holiday sale. You can often think of ways to use things for other holidays. And don't forget to check the Kosher section after Passover...I've gotten some great buys there, including vanilla for less than half price!)

Jenni: I replied to you over at your site...we did not go to NTBI, but will be going to MTC come this fall!

Melissa: Great Savings!!

Mom2Fur: I wish we had CVS here in the Northwest! And no double coupons (at least in my part of the NW) either;)
