I was considering skipping menu planning this week since I will be at my parents for a better part of the week. We are staying at a hotel near my parents' for our 5th anniversary (while they watch the girls!) and then having a home meeting to share about our plans with Wycliffe Bible Translators in Cameroon.
But, since we had a house full of sickies this past week we threw last week's plan out the window. And I am making a huge turkey today because I have to (no room in th freezer-I need to make meal sized portions to get it to fit!) Not only that but hubby isn't feeling well and he will be fending for himself for a few days until he joins me at my parents this weekend.
Breakfasts:
yogurt, cold cereal, toast
Lunches:Leftovers
Dinners:
Monday: Makin' a 20 lb turkey and some squash in the crockpot
Tuesday-Sunday: (the girls and I will be gone from here on...)
Meal ideas for Daniel: turkey sandwiches, turkey soup and I need some more ideas for 5-10 minute prep turkey meals for Daniel! Got any?

I'm not sure if you have any Stove Top on hand, but here's a quick and easy recipe. It calls for chicken, but I don't know why you couldn't use turkey instead. I'll write the recipe as I got it, with some notes in parenthesis.
Chicken and Dressing Casserole
1 large can of chunk chick (I use however much leftover chicken that I have - probably about 2 cups)
1 stick of butter (I use about half and then add water)
1 can cream of chicken soup (I make my own)
1 box of Stove Top cornbread dressing (I use whatever dressing box I happen to have)
In a 2-quart casserole, melt the butter in the microwave. Add the rest of the ingredients and stir well. Microwave on high for about 5 minutes. Stir again and microwave on high for another 3 minutes.
As you can see, I only follow the spirit of the recipe. However, it's something that my family likes, so I keep some Stove Top (generic or found cheap at Big Lots) for a quick dinner. I think the recipe as written (using canned chicken and all) would be a little salty. But it's sure an easy recipe!
THanks for the recipe Sheila! I will try that-if not this week I will add it to a plan in the future. Yummy and easy-I like it:)
